Yeah, whereas chopping off limbs and THEN cutting the head off would have been totally fine
Speaking of sick stuff... I heard a story today from good old Canada. A guy was on a Greyhound bus and got annoyed with the guy next to him and proceeded to stab him to death. Everyone got off the bus, and left him in there with the guy he stabbed. He then spent the next while cutting off the guy's head with his knife, then walked to the front of the bus with the head in one hand and his knife in the other hand... Fun times... So now I avoid riding on the Greyhound for two reasons; 1) the drivers zoom around like maniacs even in the snow and get into a disproportionate number of accidents, and 2) I might get my head chopped off.
Haha, stupid me! Kimi and Felipe I meant of course Here I was trying to be clever with a photoshop idea, and instead I come off looking stupid cos I can't even figure out who's in what team today
Expect Kimi and Felipe (NOT Heikki, as I had originally written ) to be more impressive in the second half of the season thanks to the introduction of the shark fin on the f2008.
WOOT! Yeah for someone who learned something interesting rather than stupid stuff like where towns are etc... Why memorize something you can just look up? In the 5 years I spent getting my geography degree I don't think I learned where a single city was, I am proud to say But if you want to know anything about rivers, coastlines, tsunamis, etc just ask
Pic attached is one of my favourite geog field trips! Yeah I'm a geog geek and yes we were lucky with the timing of our trip to Mt St Helens....
Well some people do fine and some people don't. The proportion of people who don't is a lot higher when you look at those who started off on 600cc+ sportbikes. I know of a lot of local riders who started off on too much bike and then ended up injured or worse because of it. There is one story that really makes me sad...
I know someone who works at a motorcycle dealer, and he had a teenager come in wanting to buy a 1000cc sportbike as his first bike. My friend said he wouldn't sell it to him, because it's not a good decision for a new rider, and he would rather lose a sale than see him get hurt. His Dad came in and was very upset, saying he should have just sold him the 1000cc bike. The salesman explained why he didn't think it was a good decision, but the father went ahead and bought the 1000cc bike under his own name anyway. A week later the father came in and said his son was dead, and admitted that the salesman was right, he shouldn't have started on that bike.
This kind of thing happens all the time... sure a lot of people are fine starting off on really fast bikes, but a LOT more inexperienced people kill themselves on 600cc + bikes than on Ninja 250s....
I download torrents of F1 races... Just get a good torrent downloader and search for torrents of F1 races created by DaRmEtH. I usually put it on overnight and it's normally done by the next afternoon (my internet isn't the fastest...).
I agree about Lotus! One of the best bits about living in Norfolk for me was that for my high school work experience I spent a week working at the Lotus factory A couple of days were working in the engine test cells testing 3.5L V8s that were going in Esprits, one day was spent stripping down a car for crash testing, and then the last two days were spent with a guy working on suspension settings for an Elise and then going out for rides on the track with him. Matthew Becker also took me for a few laps in an Elise which was an experience I will never forget.
A Ipswich fan and a Norwich fan are in the pub watching the 6 O'clock news. A man is shown threatening to jump of a bridge. The Ipswich fan bets the Norwich fan £20 that he wont jump. The Norwich fan quickly takes the bet. Sure enough the man jumps. So the Ipswich fan reluctantly hands over the £20. The Norwich fan says to him "I can't take this" But the Ipswich fan replies "No, a bets a bet. You won it, so take the money." The Norwich fan then confesses. "Listen, I have to admit that I saw the 5 O'clock news, so can't take your money." The Ipswich fan replies, "So did I, but never thought he would jump again"!!!
I lived just outside Norwich for 10 years, so I am rooting for Norfolk in the Norfolk vs Suffolk showdown
Yeah, I agree. As soon as you set out to try and show something is true, you will of course be biased, and only present the evidence that supports your side of the argument. And yeah, it's not going to teach anyone anything, because it will obviously not be objective.
I was just thinking about whether I was irresponsible when I started driving... Well, I started when I was 16 and have been driving 9 years, about 250,000km with no accidents. So does that mean I was a responsible driver when I started? Hell no! Just lucky. I used to do lots of dumb stuff when I was 16, trying to impress friends etc... I'm certainly a lot more responsible now, but the fact that I didn't have an accident when I was first starting to drive is partly that I was very aware of my surroundings, but certainly partly good fortune given some of the stuff I used to do.
I think it's POSSIBLE to use OSX on a PC designed to run windows, but I was just being silly really... I know it wasn't a very practical suggestion for those without macs :P
I'm not sure I agree on that. I think a 30 year old new driver would be more mature typically and be a more safe new driver than a 16 year old. BUT, we don't know....so this would be something that would be great to research for your speech R34king. If you found the accident statistics were similar between new drivers who are 16 and those who are 30, then you could say that it's primarily inexperience not irresponsibility causing a higher proportion of accidents.
Yes. Any car or track that you purchase can be used in offline test sessions at any time. To do online practice sessions with other racers though, you need to be eligible for the series the car competes in.
